The Hafizabad district police officer (DPO) suspended two CIA officials for reportedly running a covert torture cell.
According to the police, the DPO suspended Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Mubashir Virk and Naib Moharrar and asked Superintendent of Police (Investigation) Khalid Mehmood Tabassum to produce an inquiry report within 48 hours.
“The officers in charge of the private torture cell will be brought to justice,” the DPO vowed.
