On Tuesday, four terrorists were killed in a joint operation by the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), police, and security personnel in Lakki Marwat.
According to police sources, the terrorists were planning a terrorist assault in the Sherry Khel neighborhood, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Pezu police station.
A large number of weapons were also confiscated from their possession.
According to police, the terrorists opened fire on police and security forces during a search and strike operation, and they were killed in retaliatory firing by law enforcement.
Yaseen alias Ladam, Aftab, Fazlur Rehman alias Abdul Wali, and Aajiz Sherry Khel were among those killed.
They were wanted by police for assaults on officers and CTD personnel.
The news comes just one day after security forces killed four more militants during an operation in the Jhallar Fort area of North Waziristan District.
The security forces launched an intelligence-based operation (IBO) on the reported presence of terrorists in the region, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Four terrorists were killed during an intensive exchange of fire. Zar Saad Ullah, one of the terrorists, has been identified. Heavy weapons and ammo were also retrieved from the murdered terrorists’ possession after they were involved in terrorist activities against security forces.
