Australian captain Aaron Finch pledged on Monday to perform well with a young team in the ODI series between Pakistan and Australia.
During a video link conference, he stated that there was still time before the 2023 World Cup, but that the player’s performance will be taken into account.
“In Asia, the pitches are excellent. We’ll aim to play good cricket,” he said, adding that Pat Cummins made a bold choice in the last Test against Pakistan.
“Our morale is strong following the Test series victory,” the Australian captain said, adding that they would play ODI cricket beyond December 2020, but that they would aim to perform well.
“This is my first visit to Pakistan, and I am quite thrilled to play here,” Finch said.
“Beating Pakistan with young players will be difficult.” “Alex Carey, McDermott, and Chris Green have high hopes,” he remarked.
“In one-day internationals, Pakistan is a world-class team, and we’ll attempt to give them a rough time.” In the presence of world-class players like Babar Azam, Muhammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Afridi, there would be terrific cricket,” he said.
