Shahryar Afridi wishes to carry out suicide attack on the dissident MNAs

KOHAT: After some PTI legislators joined the Opposition against Prime Minister Imran Khan, Shahryar Khan Afridi, the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir, voiced his desire to carry out a suicide attack on the dissident “hypocrite” MNAs.

On Friday, Afridi spoke at a corner gathering of party activists who will attend the “Amr Bil Maroof Jalsa” of their party, which will be placed in Islamabad on March 27.

“If committing suicide had not been against the precepts of Islam, I would have carried out a suicide strike, targeting the ‘hypocrites’ sitting in the National Assembly,” he claimed.

In an allusion to the dissident PTI MNAs who have vowed to defect and vote against the prime minister in the no-confidence motion, Afridi stated that if suicide wasn’t “haram” (against Islamic teachings), he would have targeted them with explosives strapped to his body.

He claimed that he would have demolished the “hypocrites” who were “undermining” the country’s foundations.

Prime Minister Imran Khan’s cabinet member Shahryar Khan Afridi is the second to make such a declaration.

Ghulam Sarwar Khan, the Minister of Civil Aviation, had previously threatened the Opposition parties that he would become a suicide bomber and blow up the entire opposition.

“Suicide is haram,” the minister said at a gathering, “but I want to be a suicide bomber and blow up the entire Opposition.”
