Two transgender were killed in two separate firing incidents in Peshawar and Mardan on Saturday. Crimes against the transgender population are on the rise in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
At Mardan Charsadda Chowk, a transgender named Sabir and another person were reportedly shot. Sabir died on the scene as a result, while the other person was injured.
It is the fourth murder of a member of an already oppressed group in Peshawar in less than a week.
Sabir was a Swat native.
In a separate incident, unknown males on a motorcycle opened fire on a vehicle carrying transgender people near the city museum in Mardan.
According to investigators, the fire event resulted in the death of a transgender named Coconut and the injury of another individual.
A group of transgender was returning from a musical event when they were attacked by bikers.
Chand, a transgender man, was murdered in Mardan ten days ago. Three times in one week, members of the transgender community were assaulted in the city.
