Huge fee imposed on cash withdrawal from ATMs of other banks.
Banks have started increasing the per-transaction fee for cash withdrawals at automated teller machines (ATMs) from banks other than the account’s host bank, raising it from Rs. 23.44 to Rs. 35.00.
Rs. 35 per transaction
The Asian Mirror has determined that banks have even started charging their customers at the new rates of Rs. 35 per transaction at non-host ATMs.
All commercial banks have updated their schedule of charges and have jacked up the charges on cash withdrawals through their ATMs from customers of different banks.
As usual, these charges comprise a major share of the 1-Link switch and a minor share of a bank that owns an ATM and is used by the customers of other banks for making transactions.
