The opposition is planning a power display in Islamabad on March 28 as the PML-N begins its long march known as the Mehangai Mukao March from Lahore today (Saturday).
The PML-N caravan will depart from Model Town later today, led by Maryam Nawaz and Hamza Sharif, the party’s vice presidents.
Saiful Maluk, Faisal Khokhar, Mirza Javed, Col ® Tariq, Salman Rafiq, and Khawaja Ahmad Hasan, among other party officials, will conduct rallies.
The marchers are planning to remain in Gujranwala. Several rallies will depart from Narowal and other cities, and will eventually arrive at Gujranwala. The city, known for its wrestlers, is getting ready to greet the PML-N marchers.
In Sheikhupura, the party will organise a workers’ convention, after which a rally led by Rana Tanvir will join the Mehangai Mukao March.
The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam caravan, on the other side, has arrived in Multan. Maulana Fazlur Rehman, President of the Pakistan Democratic Movement and JUI Chief, will lead the party rallies from Dera Ismail Khan. Under the leadership of Rashid Soomro, the JUI rally will arrive in Islamabad.
Today will see opposition marches from Balochistan arrive in DI Khan.
