Speaking Truth to Oppressed

“I am 100 percent sure that the motion will succeed,” claims zardari

Former President and PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari is confident in the outcome of the no-confidence motion, saying, “I am 100 percent positive that the motion will succeed.”

On Friday, Asif Zardari, who appeared upbeat, told the media at Parliament House that if Speaker Asad Qaiser did not allow them to table the no-confidence resolution at the next assembly session, the opposition will hold a protest with journalists.

“It’s a pity that the Speaker has stayed partial again today, and he has continued to act in the same undemocratic manner that we have seen for the last three years,” he bemoaned.

Zardari, who has been meeting with government allies and opposition leaders for the past few days, indicated that he was confident in the passage of the no-trust motion because he did not play naive. He insisted, “I never play softball, I always play hardball, and I’m 100 percent convinced the opposition will win.”

He believed that some anti-democratic elements were attempting to exploit the current crisis. “Those who wish to try their hand at adventure should come forward and do so,” he challenged them.

In response to a query about the national government, he stated that anything we do will be with the assistance of our allies.
