Eid ul Azha 2025 is just two days away and Muslims are fully prepared for the Festival of Sacrifice, with major Eid Namaz gatherings to be held under tight security in Lahore.

With Eid ul Azha expected to be observed on June 6, 2025, the Auqaf and Religious Affairs Department in Punjab has finalised all arrangements for Eid congregational prayers in Lahore.

The preparations include special measures for cleanliness, crowd management, and public safety across more than 20 key mosques and shrines.

Thousands of citizens are expected to gather early Friday morning to offer the Eid ul Azha Namaz. Worshippers are advised to reach their prayer sites ahead of time and follow security instructions strictly.

One of the biggest gatherings will be held at the Badshahi Mosque, where Eid prayers will be offered at 8:30 AM.

Security measures

The Punjab government has placed strong security arrangements in place. Police personnel, plain-clothes officers, and volunteers will be present at every major congregation point. Surveillance through CCTV and patrolling teams will ensure safety.

Alongside this, the Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) has increased its operations near mosques to maintain a clean and sanitary environment for the Eid prayers.
