LAHORE: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has chosen to reschedule its ‘Mehngai Mukao March,’ which will now begin on March 26 in Lahore.
According to party sources, the decision to hold the long march was made on Wednesday during an online party meeting chaired by PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif.
According to the sources, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif approved the adjustment of the march’s start date, which was originally set for March 24.
The march will begin on March 26 at the PML-N secretariat in Model Town and end on March 28 in Islamabad.
A special container for Maryam Nawaz and Hamza Shahbaz Sharif had been prepared, and they would lead the march along GT Road. All party leaders, MNAs, MPAs, ticket holders, and district heads were instructed to begin mobilizing workers and supporters to be at the welcoming camps on time.
Lahore’s MNAs, MPAs, ticket holders, and office bearers were told to go to Model Town to join Maryam Nawaz and Hamza Shahbaz’s caravan.
The party’s MNAs, MPAs, ticket holders, and office bearers were also told to make other preparations in case the government tried to obstruct their journey to Islamabad.
For the impending event, PML-N stalwarts including Punjab President Rana Sanaullah, Khawaja Saad Rafique, Pervaiz Rashid, Ayaz Sadiq, Javed Latif, and other core officials have been assigned various roles.
According to party insiders, Maryam Nawaz assigned various colors to female legislators and ordered them to mobilize female workers. MPA Hina Pervaiz Butt, Ayesha Raza, Kiran Dar, Sania Ashiq, Sumbal Malik Hussain, Ayesha Ghous Pasha, Bushra Butt, Kanwal Pervez, Rukhsana Kausar, and Rahat Afza were among the female party officials given responsibility for the impending event.
The party leadership had also asked male legislators, ticket holders, and local leaders to bring at least 1,000 male and 250 female employees with them, according to the report.
They went on to say that all of the leaders were told to move in groups with their employees to avoid being apprehended and to break any siege. In addition, the workers were told to conduct sit-ins wherever they were halted.
Meanwhile, PML-N Secretary Information Marriyum Aurangzeb nicknamed Imran Khan ‘Captain Inflation,’ claiming that his resignation was his one last card and surprise.
“Captain Inflation had been clean bowled and was yelling as usual because of the lone loser he was,” she claimed in a statement released on Wednesday.
“Imran intended to uproot the so-called three wickets and bring them home on his way out after being clean bowled,” she continued.
“Captain Inflation’s dread and infatuation with Shahbaz Sharif would never go away, and he would keep chanting his name in paranoia even after he was driven out of the Prime Minister’s office,” the official added.
She urged the Prime Minister to put an end to his threatening statements and have the fortitude to call a national assembly session and follow the laws. Only then, she argued, would he realize that this match would not go down to the final ball.
“On the playing field, a surprise awaits him,” she added, adding, “how could he even play till the last ball when the coward Captain Inflation was too terrified to even enter into the playing field?”
She urged Prime Minister Imran Khan to halt his attacks on Pakistan’s Constitution and people. Inflation, unemployment, thievery, and lying were among the many surprises he bestowed on Pakistanis.
“Imran’s entire party had fallen like a house of cards as he boasted about having the best card for last, although the only cards he was holding were the jokers,” she claimed, adding that “Captain Inflation understood that he could only win in a lying match, not in the no-confidence vote.”
