Four-nation investment conferance going on in IIOJK

PM Modi signs trans-continental trade pact with UAE

On Tuesday, delegates from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Hong Kong attended an investment conference in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), which has been allotted 2,000 acres of land.

According to BBC Urdu, as many as 30 members of various companies are now present in the Himalayan disputed territory to assess investment potential in the moot, which will go for three more days.

According to the IIOJK senior secretary, the administration is allocating state-owned land rather than land that belongs to locals.

He went on to say that if the land rules are changed, locals will be able to make decisions about their land as well.

At a time when the OIC foreign ministers are meeting in Islamabad for a key conference on IIOJK and other challenges confronting the Muslim world, delegations from the aforementioned nations are assessing investment prospects.

It is important to note that the Indian government has been attempting to attract investment in the occupied region for the past two years, but these efforts have been limited to Asian countries, with no interest from the United States, the United Kingdom, or other Western countries.

The Modi-led government believes that regional prosperity will eliminate joblessness in IIOJK and that as a result, the youth will reject to be a “part of the anti-state government.”

India made a statement on August 5, 2019, that sent shockwaves around the world. As part of a plot to shift the demographics of the province, the Hindu nationalist administration deprived occupied Kashmir of its semi-autonomous status guaranteed by Article 370 of the Indian constitution.

The move finally provided the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with all the stamps of approval it needed to not only legalize decades of ruthless extermination but also to put an end to any remaining hope of having talks with separatists.
