US shuts down Global UGRAD Program for Pakistani students.
The United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP) on Tuesday officially announced the ending of the Global Undergraduate Exchange Program (Global UGRAD) for Pakistani students.
The decision, communicated by the U.S. Department of State, marks the end of the program after 15 years of fostering educational and cultural exchange between the two nations.

The Global UGRAD Program, which has been an important platform for Pakistani students to gain academic exposure, leadership skills, and cultural experiences in the United States, will no longer be offered.
The announcement has come as a disappointment to numerous Pakistani students who had applied for this year’s cohort and were eagerly awaiting the opportunity.
The USEFP, in its statement, expressed its regret over the discontinuation of the programme but acknowledged the substantial impact it had over the years.
