Two PTI members detained for protesting outside Kumar’s house

Two PTI members of the Sindh Assembly were arrested on Monday for protesting outside the home of the party’s dissident MNA Ramesh Kumar.

According to reports, MPAs Shahnawaz Jadoon and Saeed Ullah Afridi have been charged by the Boot Basin police. Aside from these two, the police have also filed an FIR against a number of PTI members. They were charged with making threats and using profanity.

According to police, PTI members staged a protest outside the house of renegade PTI MNA Ramesh Kumar last night and engaged in hooliganism. Two persons who took part in the protest were also arrested, according to the report.

Protesters included PTI legislators Saeed Afridi, Shabir Qureshi, and Shah Nawaz. On Sunday, demonstrators condemned dissident PTI members for selling their votes.

They believe that such MPs should be prevented from participating in the electoral process, putting an end to the politics of sale and purchase for good.
