Ahmad Ishaque Jahangir sacked as DG FIA.
Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Director General Ahmad Ishaque Jehangir was sacked from his position over poor performance.
The Establishment Division has issued a notification in this regard, stating that Jehangir has been made OSD.
The decision was taken in line with orders of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who had expressed disappointment for not presenting a detailed report on the Greece boat incident, which had claimed the lives of several Pakistani nationals.
The premier was also not satisfied with his performance over delay in investigation into other matters.
On the other hand, Akhtar Hayat Gandappur has been removed as inspector general of police, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, after he failed to maintain law and order in the province.
He has been replaced by Zulfiqar Hameed, said an official notification.
