PPP MNAs blame PTI government for destroying country’s democracy

As political tensions in the country rise ahead of the opposition parties’ no-confidence motion in the National Assembly (NA) in a few days, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) MNAs Abdul Qadir Patel, Agha Rafiullah, Javed Shah Jilani, and others claimed on Thursday that the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government was bent on destroying the country’s democracy.

They declared in a joint statement that the ‘Niazi Sarkar’ was planning an assault on the Sindh House by dispatching what they called PTI’s Tiger Force’s ‘goons.’

They went on to explain that even at the Parliament Lodges, their lives were in danger.

Even their female colleagues, the PPP MNAs claimed, did not feel safe.

“The police in Islamabad are acting like ‘Gullu Butt.'” And if any of us are harmed,’ selected’ Prime Minister Imran Khan would be held responsible,” they stated, demanding that Sindh Police forces be dispatched to guard them because they no longer trust the capital police.
