Asif Zardari asks PPP MNAs to ensure presence on no-trust day

Faced with the task of ensuring the success of the no-confidence motion against the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government, former president and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has directed PPP MNAs to ensure their presence in the National Assembly (NA) on the day of the motion’s voting.

Zardari has written to the party’s MNAs, warning them that if they vote against the party line or merely abstain on election day, they will face consequences.

Meanwhile, Syed Khurshid Ahmed Shah, the previous leader of the opposition in the NA and a PPP MNA, has warned that disorder will spread if the ruling party prevents its MNAs from voting in favor of the no-trust motion. He claimed that Prime Minister Imran Khan wants a civil war in Pakistan.
