Jhang police claimed Monday to have caught a dacoit who was injured in a gunfight on Karai Road.
The offender was named Imran Malah, and he was wanted by police in 19 different crimes of dacoity and theft, according to authorities.
When a police squad arrived on the scene, the accused and two accomplices were busy carrying out a dacoity on Karai Road, according to authorities.
“The dacoits resorted to indiscriminate firing on the police team,” police said.
“The policemen remained safe. However, one of the dacoits was injured in firing by his accomplices,” police claimed.
“The police arrested him, whereas, the other two dacoits managed to flee away. An operation for their arrest is underway,” they stated.
