Pakistan’s automobile sector has reached another milestone, with a 56 percent increase in vehicle sales in the first eight months of the current fiscal year.

According to the Pakistan Auto Manufacturers Association (PAMA), vehicle sales increased by 32% in February 2022, to 21,664 units, up from 16,436 in February 2021.

When compared to January of the previous year, automobile sales increased by 4% in February.

According to the PAMA, 178,250 units were sold in the first eight months of the current fiscal year, compared to 113,905 units sold in the same period the previous year.

Suzuki sales increased by 69 percent to 94,408 units in the first eight months of the current fiscal year, compared to 55,852 units sold in the same period the previous fiscal year.

Sales of the Toyota Indus increased by 38% to 49,499 units from 35,975 units.
