Lionel Messi hints he may be retiring very soon.
Lionel Messi, the star forward for Inter Miami, has recently hinted that he may retiring from professional football sooner than expected.
In an exclusive interview with ESPN Argentina, the 36-year-old discussed his concerns about life after football, a sport that has been his lifelong passion, as reported by Marca.
Messi openly acknowledged that he is nearing the end of his illustrious career on the field, expressing a fear that he may not be mentally prepared for this transition.

“I’m not ready to leave football,” Messi told ESPN Argentina.
“I’ve dedicated my whole life to this, I enjoy the training sessions, the matches. The fear that it might all end is always there.”
He also revealed the club where he believes he will play his final matches. “I think Inter Miami will be my last club,” he said.

Messi’s current contract with Inter Miami is set to expire at the end of 2025, which could mark the conclusion of a remarkable career that has seen him achieve every major accolade in football.
