A devastating incident has claimed the life of Pakistani YouTuber Saad Ahmed, who was fatally shot dead by a security guard in Karachi’s mobile market.
Saad was filming a vlog as part of the buildup to the highly anticipated T20 World Cup 2024 match between India and Pakistan, held at Nassau County Stadium in New York.
Conflict Over Filming Leads to Fatality:
Saad Ahmed, known for his engaging vlogs, was interviewing various shopkeepers in the bustling mobile market.
His intent was to capture the public’s excitement ahead of the cricket match.
However, when he attempted to interview a security guard, the situation took a tragic turn.
Despite the guard’s clear reluctance to be filmed, Saad persisted, which led to a heated exchange.
According to reports and CCTV footage, the guard, frustrated by Saad’s insistence, lost his temper and shot him.
Saad was immediately transported to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Guard Arrested; Claims Provocation:
The security guard involved in the shooting has been arrested by the police.
In a statement reportedly made on Instagram, the guard admitted, “He kept on bringing the mic close to my face and filming. I lost my temper and fired at him.”
