Shahid Afridi pledges big expose on Pakistan team.

Former Pakistan cricket captain Shahid Afridi has indicated that he will soon disclose the internal issues and key individuals who have disrupted the unity of the national team.

This revelation comes amidst ongoing criticism of Pakistan’s selection process from former players, including ex-PCB chairman Ramiz Raja and Kamran Akmal.

During an interview on a local television channel, Afridi, joined by young fast bowler Mohammad Wasim, touched upon the subject of the team’s lack of cohesion but refrained from providing details until after the conclusion of the current T20 World Cup.

“He knows many things, and so do I, but we cannot talk openly. I will speak openly after the World Cup. Our people themselves have spoiled this unit,” Afridi stated.

Afridi also addressed the situation concerning his son-in-law, Shaheen Afridi, who has faced a turbulent period with the Pakistan team.

He assured that his views are impartial, even when they pertain to family members.

“If I talk about something, people will say that I am supporting my son-in-law, although I am not. If my daughter, son, or son-in-law are wrong, I will also call them wrong,” Afridi asserted.

Shaheen Afridi’s position within the team has undergone significant changes over the past six months.

He was appointed as the T20I captain following the ODI World Cup last November, replacing Babar Azam as the white-ball captain.

However, in April, Shaheen was relieved of his T20I captaincy duties after leading the team in only one series against New Zealand.

As Shahid Afridi pledges big expose on Pakistan team, his comments come in the aftermath of Pakistan’s disappointing T20 World Cup campaign.

The team began with a narrow 5-run defeat in a Super Over against co-hosts USA and followed with a loss to arch-rivals India in New York, putting their qualification hopes in jeopardy.

Pakistan is set to face Canada in their third match on Tuesday in New York.
