An Indonesian woman who went missing has been found inside a python after 3 days.
In a shocking incident in central Indonesia, a woman was found dead inside the belly of a reticulated python after the snake swallowed her whole.
Farida, a 45-year-old mother of four from Kalempang village in South Sulawesi province, went missing on Thursday night, prompting a search by her husband and local villagers.
The village head, Suardi Rosi, reported that Farida’s husband discovered some of her belongings during the search, which raised alarm.

The search party soon spotted a python with an abnormally large belly.
Acting on their suspicions, the villagers decided to cut open the snake, revealing Farida fully clothed inside, with her head immediately visible.
“Her husband found her belongings… which made him suspicious. The villagers then searched the area. They soon spotted a python with a large belly,” said Suardi.
“They agreed to cut open the python’s stomach. As soon as they did, Farida’s head was immediately visible.”
Incidents of this nature are extremely rare but not unheard of in Indonesia.
In recent years, several similar tragedies have occurred.
Just last year, an eight-meter python in Southeast Sulawesi’s Tinanggea district was found strangling and consuming a farmer.

The year before that, a farmer in West Sulawesi was found after being swallowed by a four-meter python at a palm oil plantation.
The reticulated python, known for its size and strength, is one of the world’s longest snakes and is capable of swallowing large prey whole.
