In response to precarious weather conditions, Dubai has issued directives impacting education and employment across the emirate.

Private schools in Dubai are mandated to conduct remote learning on Tuesday, April 16, with government entities instructed to facilitate working from home for employees.

Crown Prince’s Announcement:

The decision to transition private schools to remote learning was communicated by Dubai’s Crown Prince.

This announcement came after the Emirates School Education Foundation’s directive for all public schools in the UAE to adopt remote operations.

Nationwide Remote Learning Mandate:

Extending beyond Dubai, public schools throughout the UAE will engage in mandatory remote learning not only on Tuesday, April 16, but also on Wednesday, April 17.

Impact on the Private Sector:

Acknowledging the challenges posed by fluctuating weather conditions, private sector companies in heavily affected areas across the UAE are encouraged to take precautions, especially in outdoor work environments where suspending operations may be difficult.

Ras Al Khaimah’s Response:

The crisis management team in Ras Al Khaimah earlier decided to shift classes in government institutions to distance learning mode in response to the prevailing weather conditions.

As UAE Crown Prince directs government employees to work remotely, these measures aim to ensure the safety and continuity of education and work during the period of unstable weather across the UAE.
