Captain Haider Abbas embraced shahadat in exchange for heavy fire between security forces and militants in district Kohlu, Balochistan.
Last night, security personnel conducted a clearance operation in the area after receiving intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists in a hideout.
Terrorists fleeing the hideaway unleashed indiscriminate fire as troops began cordoning off the area.
Captain Haider Abbas embraced shahadat in pursuit of the terrorists during the ensuing fierce exchange of fire. Despite suffering casualties, the terrorists were able to flee into neighboring mountains.
Terrorists will continue to be hunted down by security personnel, but they will not be permitted to ruin Balochistan’s hard-won peace.
On Monday, Shaheed Capt Haider Abbas’ Namaz e Janaza was offered in Karachi. Lieutenant General Muhammad Saeed, the Corps Commander for Karachi, attended the funeral.
The Namaz e Janaza was attended by serving officers, troops, Shaheed’s relatives, and a large crowd. Shaheed was laid to rest with full military honors.
