PTI confirms Jahangir Tareen’s meeting with Shahbaz Sharif. PTI leader Fayaz ul Hassan Chohan has confirmed a meeting between PML-N Vice President Shahbaz Sharif and the unhappy Jahangir Khan Tareen group, amid allegations of strengthening links between Opposition parties and the ruling PTI’s supporters and the disgruntled Jahangir Khan Tareen party.
After confirming Jahangir Tareen’s meeting with Shahbaz Sharif, Chohan said Tareen did an excellent job as the PTI’s general secretary.
He did reveal, however, that the estranged PTI leader met with Shehbaz, who is now the Opposition Leader in the National Assembly, at the home of former MNA Makhdoom Ahmed Mehmood.
Chohan also encouraged Tareen, who is an erstwhile confidante of Prime Minister Imran Khan, not to trust the Sharif family throughout the show.
He said, “Jahangir Tareen can never obtain anything nice from the Sharif family.”
Shehbaz, according to the PTI leader, is a person who lacks decisive power. Similarly, Chaudhry Nisar is unable to make a decision, he said.
Chohan advised Tareen to make his decision while bearing previous events in mind, because “there would be no no-trust motion” against the present government.
“These people have no idea where the no-trust motion will be filed.”
Furthermore, Chohan alleged that 15 PML-N MPs in the Punjab Assembly are requesting PTI tickets.
Shahbaz Sharif and Jahangir Tareen had a secret meeting
According to sources, Shahbaz and Tareen met in private to plan the ouster of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The two leaders met a few days ago, according to a reliable source, to discuss the destiny of the present government.
When approached, Tareen declined to comment on the crucial meeting, which comes in the aftermath of the Opposition’s announcement that it will submit a no-confidence resolution against Prime Minister Imran Khan.
‘Politics is full of such encounters’
Tareen had maintained that his group of estranged ruling party MNAs and MPAs had given him the mandate to make any political move, without confirming or denying his meeting with Shahbaz Sharif.
As a politician, Tareen has stated that he believes in interacting with other politicians. He added, “Such interactions are part of politics.”
Tareen stated that everyone was dissatisfied with the country’s economic situation and the rising cost of living. He had stated that the MPs in his party believed they could not remain oblivious to the plight of the people. In response to a question, Tareen stated that his party has more than 30 members in parliament.
Jahangir Khan Tareen is a Pakistani businessman and politician who is the majority shareholder and CEO of JDW Group, a conglomerate specializing in sugar manufacturing, biomass cogeneration, paper manufacturing, sugarcane farming, and aviation services.
