In a troubling turn of events in Karachi, Pakistan’s bustling metropolis, the constituency of NA-232 witnessed a brazen act as armed members affiliated with a political party seized control of the ballot papers from election officials, prompting swift intervention from the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
The incident unfolded as female staffers diligently executed their electoral duties, only to have their efforts disrupted by unidentified assailants who forcibly absconded with a sack containing crucial ballot papers.
Brandishing firearms, the perpetrators stormed into the premises, subjecting the polling staff to harassment and intimidation.

Despite the prompt response of law enforcement authorities, who swiftly mobilized to the scene, the culprits managed to evade capture, leaving a sense of dismay and frustration in their wake.
In response to this egregious breach of electoral integrity, the ECP Sindh has issued directives to both the Returning Officer and the District Monitoring Officer, demanding a comprehensive report detailing the circumstances surrounding the incident.
