PML-N and PPP leaders distribute money to voters ahead of elections.
In the lead-up to the upcoming elections in Pakistan, a nation boasting a population of nearly 241 million, the political landscape has become embroiled in controversy as candidates, notably from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), face accusations of resorting to vote-buying tactics.
In the provincial capital of Lahore, a battleground for political aspirations, the PML-N and PPP find themselves at the center of a heated exchange of allegations related to the illicit procurement of votes.
The focal point of this electoral drama centers on a circulating video clip featuring prominent PML-N leaders and banners displaying the name of Attaullah Tarar.

The PPP contends that the footage provides evidence of Tarar engaging in the unethical practice of buying votes in the NA-127 constituency.
The video in question captures scenes within Tarar’s election office, depicting political operatives allegedly distributing cash while fervently encouraging voters to throw their support behind the Nawaz League.

In a swift response, the PML-N refutes these allegations, asserting that the PPP is equally complicit in the act of purchasing votes within the NA-127 constituency.

Attaullah Tarar, in his defense, maintains that individuals were apprehended while taking oaths to cast their votes in favor of PPP’s Bilawal Bhutto.
Adding fuel to the fire, Tarar claims that substantial sums of money are being transferred from the Sindh region to Lahore, a move aimed at enticing voters grappling with financial constraints.
The political saga further intensifies as the PML-N levels accusations against the PPP, suggesting that the latter is actively attempting to sway the election outcome through the involvement of commission agents.
