With plans for the return of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif well underway, the once-ruling PML-N has begun a series of rallies from the provincial capital Lahore.
After spending four years in Britain for medical care while serving a sentence for corruption, Sharif, 73, is scheduled to return to his native country.
He moved there for this purpose. Additionally, his party appears to be under pressure to win over the masses in advance of his homecoming.

A PML-N leader offered an unconventional solution during a party meeting when he announced that anyone who brought more people to welcome the ousted premier would receive a brand-new Honda 125 motorcycle.
A video of the incident that featured an unrecognized party employee making an odd announcement quickly became popular online.
In the video, the man said that on October 21, whoever brings the most people to welcome Sharif will win a new Honda 125 bike. This announcement quickly went viral online and drew amusing responses from people.
The lesser-known party worker also clarified that because NA 135 encompasses two provincial constituencies, the award will go to its residents.
