PCB announces squad for World Cup 2023. The 15-person squad for the upcoming ICC World Cup 2023 has finally been announced by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
Pakistan’s squad was unexpectedly delayed as the team management held meetings in the wake of a humiliating exit from the Asia Cup and injuries to key bowlers during the competition.
Inzamam-ul-Haq, the head selector, unveiled the team at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

Shadab Khan will continue to serve as the team’s vice-captain while Babar Azam will lead the squad. Pacer Naseem Shah has been replaced by Hasan Ali because he has been ruled out of the competition due to a shoulder injury.
Ali, on the other hand, will return to one-day international (ODI) cricket after a year off following his last appearance against the West Indies in Multan in 2022.
