Akshay Kumar’s new film under fire for replacing India with Bharat in title.

Akshay Kumar shared new posters for his upcoming film Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue, for which he is receiving a lot of flak.

The film starring Akshay Kumar was previously titled Mission Raniganj: The Great Indian Rescue.

The film’s title change comes amid the ongoing debate over renaming India to Bharat.

It all started with President Droupadi Murmu’s dinner invitation to G20 delegates that said “President of Bharat” rather than “India.”

Since then, the Internet has been divided, and Akshay Kumar’s film title change has only added fuel to the fire.

Users on X (formerly known as Twitter) posted screenshots of previous posters posted by Akshay Kumar (now deleted), which had the word India instead of Bharat.

A section of the Internet questioned the existence of Akshay Kumar’s previous tweet about the film, which used the term India rather than Bharat.

“Ye tweet kahan gaya (Where did this tweet go)?” enquired one user.

Another X user asked the actor, “Aapki agli movie ka name BHARAT to nahin Akki bhai (Is the name of your next film Bharat)?”

Another user resorted to humor and shared a still from Mr Kumar’s Bhagam Bhag, which is also a popular meme template. “Bharat,” the user simply wrote adding the meme.

Akshay Kumar was trolled for more than just changing the words in the poster.

A section of the Internet criticized the editing in one of the film’s posters.

A few faces have been pasted multiple times on one of the posters.

A user took the time to point out the error in the poster.
