The well-known Joyland actress recently declared her intention to combine her renowned performing career with politics.
The Mata-e-Jaan Hai Tu actress talked about her future and personal life in a recent guest appearance on a show.
During this meeting, Gilani was questioned about her future plans, including whether or not she intended to enter politics.
The Tishnagi actress replied that she had gotten proposals from numerous political parties up to this point but hadn’t joined any.
Actress Sarwat Gilani will launch her own political party, she said:
“I do not intend to formally join a political party, but I definitely want to form my own in the future. Not only this, the manifesto of my party would be to make education for everyone in Pakistan,” Gilani said.
Speaking of the theatre industry, Gilani asserted that current plots frequently feature courting issues, tortured damsels in distress, adulterous affairs with brothers-in-law, and eloping.
“The younger audience wants something fresh, something about successful people, not these oft-used, cliche plots,” the actress noted.
Gilani also stated that she has grown weary of playing the victim on television for the past 20 years and that she has since changed her attention to children’s and women’s education, making it inappropriate for her to play another troublesome character.
Gilani has recently appeared in a number of films, including Mann Pyasa, Pujaran, Yeh Ishq Hai, Khasara, Naulakha, Jawani Phir Nahi Aani, Qatil Haseenaon Ke Naam, and Joyland.
Sarwat Gilani is a Pakistani model, film, television, and voice actress.
Gilani made her movie debut in Jawani Phir Nahi Aani where she played a pregnant Pashtun woman opposite Vasay Chaudhary.
She made her stage directorial debut with Kiski Topi Kiskay Sar. She also starred in Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2, where she reprised her role as Gul opposite Vasay Chaudhry.
