According to reports, Abdul Hanan Swati is from Mansehra’s Grathli Juri area and this is his fourth marriage. Swati’s eldest son is 70 years old, and his entire family consists of 84 people.

The nikkah ceremony was held at a local mosque, where Rs5,000 was set aside as “Haq Mehr.” A large number of relatives and friends attended Abdul Hanan’s walima ceremony.

A video circulating on social media shows the 110-year-old groom putting a rose bracelet on his wife’s hands.

Marriage, also known as matrimony or wedlock, is a culturally and often legally recognised union of two people known as spouses.

It establishes their rights and obligations, as well as their rights and obligations to their children (if any) and in-laws.

Marriage is nearly a cultural universal, but its definition varies across cultures, religions, and times.

It is usually an institution where interpersonal relationships, usually sexual ones, are acknowledged or sanctioned.

Marriage is recommended or considered mandatory in some cultures before engaging in any sexual activity. A wedding is a marriage ceremony.

The word “marriage” derives from Middle English marriage, which first appears in 1250–1300 CE.
