How to legally use non-PTA approved phones in Pakistan? The only reason the Pakistan Telecommunications Authority keeps raising phone taxes in Pakistan is because Pakistanis are the richest people to have ever lived on the planet.

Additionally, with the rising cost of smartphones brought on by both inflation and import levies. Nearly equal to the cost of the item itself is the current PTA tax.

PTA has lately notified that iPhone 13 taxes are payable in Pakistan, so it appears that no taxes are being reduced.

We have a few techniques you can use to use your non-PTA-approved phone like a standard phone. The best approach is to actually pay the tax and use your phones if you can, but if not, you can utilize the following method instead. Please note that we will not discuss any unlawful methods with you.

How to legally use non-PTA approved phones in Pakistan?

For Android Users

S-Com Sim

S-Com is a telecom provider in northern Pakistan that offers nationwide 4G networking. The S-Com sim does function in all non-PTA-certified phones across Pakistan for reasons that we are unable to comprehend. The PTA may have been too preoccupied with tax collection to remember S-Com, or perhaps something else, but the S-Com sim will function flawlessly in any Pakistani phone that is not PTA-approved.

The issue with that is that you would have to change your phone number, which would be challenging if you had been using the same number for a while. The next issue is that the sim is only available in northern Pakistan; therefore, you would need to purchase it online from sites like OLX, etc., for an additional few thousand rupees.

Jazz Digit Phone

If you do not want to change your phone number or cannot locate an S-Com sim, you should get a Jazz Digit 4G phone. These phones have some incredible features and are only 4-5k rupees. These phones have a fast hotspot and a long battery life, allowing you to access all internet apps on your main phone (non-PTA allowed) and Digit 4G for phone calls and messages.

For iPhone Users.

IKOS Device

These gadgets were launched when there were no dual-sim mobiles, however, they are no longer as popular as they once were because most phones now have two sims, but fortunately for Pakistanis, these devices are still available in internet retailers. It is far less expensive to purchase one of these PTA-approved gadgets than an iPhone. The PTA tax for an IKOS gadget is approximately 17-18K rupees, which is clearly less than the current iPhone. So you may approve an IKOS gadget, insert your SIM card, attach it to your iPhone, and it will work perfectly on non-PTA phones.

Cheap Secondary iPhone

You may use your sim card on any phones that have the same Apple ID registered, which is a very beneficial function in all Apple devices. If you choose the “allow calls on other devices” option, your call will ring directly on your primary phone; you won’t even need to look at your secondary phone, as in the case of Digit 4G. The cost of an old iPhone, say an iPhone 6, is around $30-40k (PTA approved), which is significantly less than the PTA tax and you will not even notice that you are using a non-PTA phone.
