Punjab University issues duplicate BA degree to Nawaz Sharif. The Punjab University has awarded Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif a duplicate Bachelor of Arts degree.
According to reports, Mr. Sharif, who has been in London for treatment for a long time, applied for the degree through someone, and it was issued after the proper procedure.
As Punjab University issues duplicate BA degree to Nawaz Sharif, On June 7, the former prime minister deposited Rs2,990 in the university’s bank account in order for the duplicate degree to be issued.
In 1968, the former prime minister graduated from Punjab University as a student of the Government College (GC) Lahore (now GC University).

Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is a Pakistani businessman and politician who has served as the Prime Minister of Pakistan for three non-consecutive terms. Born into the upper-middle-class Sharif family in Lahore, Nawaz is the son of Muhammad Sharif, the founder of the Ittefaq and Sharif groups. He is the elder brother of Shehbaz Sharif, who also became the prime minister of Pakistan in 2022.
According to the Election Commission of Pakistan, Nawaz is one of the wealthiest men in Pakistan, with an estimated net worth of at least Rs. 1.75 billion (equivalent to Rs. 8.9 billion or US$31 million in 2021). Most of his wealth originates from his businesses in steel construction.
