Three people allegedly gang-raped a TikToker girl in Sindh’s Matiari district.
According to local media reports citing sources, the victim was lured by some men while visiting New Saeedabad tehsil of Matiari district, where she was sexually assaulted.
Following the heinous incident, the victim girl approached the police and claimed that she was gang-raped by a man named Waqas Mallah and his friends.
As a TikToker girl has been gang raped, a case has been filed against the nominated suspects, but all of the men remain at large. Meanwhile, the victim girl bemoaned the lack of police action and even mentioned receiving threats from the perpetrators.
Rape and sexual abuse are serious issues in Pakistan, and both men and women are victims.
Despite the fact that the Pakistani government has implemented laws to address sexual assault and protect the rights of survivors, sexual assault remains underreported in the South Asian nation for a variety of reasons, including societal stigma, fear of retaliation, and a lack of trust.
