As chairman of PTI Imran Khan has been in NAB’s custody, actress Syra Yousaf prayed for him infront of the Holy Kaaba.
Imran Khan was arrested earlier in the Al Qadir Trust case from the premises of Islamabad High Court.
“And I believe along with other things Allah gave me this opportunity to specifically pray for him, his safety, and for my beloved country and its people,” Syra Yousaf wrote in an Instagram story on a picture of Imran Khan on a mobile phone infront of Holy Kaaba.
Yousuf began her career in 2006 by appearing in a Cornetto TV commercial. Following that, she worked as a model for a year in various advertisements. In 2007, she started hosting as a VJ at MTV Pakistan for the shows Bheja Fry and Most Wanted.
Yousuf made her acting debut in 2011 with Hum TV’s Mera Naseeb. She played the impactful character of Nazia in the drama, which was directed by Adnan Ahmed.
On the other hand, the Supreme Court ( SC) on Thursday ordered the Inspector General (IG) Islamabad Police Dr Akbar Nasir Khan to present Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan by 4:30 pm.
The directives come after Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Umar Ata Bandial described the arrest of the PTI leader from the premises of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) as a colossal disgrace to the country’s judicial establishment.
The CJP passed the remark while heading a three-member bench hearing PTI’s petition challenging the arrest of party chief Imran Khan. Apart from the CJP, the bench also includes Justice Athar Minallah and Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar.
The former prime minister’s attorney, Hamid Khan, told the court at the beginning of the hearing that Imran Khan had come to IHC to request an extension of his temporary bail. When the PTI chief was getting his verification done, Rangers personnel broke into the room.
“Rangers misbehaved with Imran Khan and arrested him,” he added. At this, CJP SC Bandial inquired about the case in which Imran Khan was seeking a bail extension.
