Russian social media star Hasbulla put under house arrest

Hasbulla Nagomedov, a Russian social media star, was arrested this week after becoming involved in a chaotic traffic accident in Dagestan.

Star Hasbulla and his friends were caught on camera speeding recklessly through a Russian street; this led to their arrest and subsequent mug shots.

He revealed via a tweet that he was released from jail and given house arrest in his hometown a short while later. Despite the fact that he shared an old photograph of himself posing, it was clear that the image had been altered—there appeared to be a doctored area on his foot that suggested a photoshopped ankle monitor used for house arrest.

Hasbulla himself confirmed the development through a tweet, stating, “Bailed out on house arrest.”

The 20-year-old apologized for the incident on Instagram after it occurred. He stated that he wasn’t driving during the incident and made a promise not to repeat it in an old story.

After posting videos on Instagram in 2020, Hasbulla quickly became well-known; today, he has an impressive 8.6 million followers. Later, he broadened his audience by posting videos on TikTok, which helped him gain a larger following.

Hasbulla born on 7 July 2002, known professionally as Hasbulla, Hasbi, or Hasbik, is a Russian social media personality and music producer. He first gained fame in 2021 due to a viral TikTok video.

Hasbulla grew up in Makhachkala, Republic of Dagestan, Russia, and is the son of a plumber. He is Muslim. He said in an interview on the Hezbollah podcast that he disliked the four years he spent in an Islamic school. His informal interpreter, Surkhay Sungurov, said that Hasbulla convinced a friend to drive 200 kilometers an hour to help him escape the school. Once he left, he began creating videos for the internet.
