ISLAMABAD – Chief Justice Aamer Farooq of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) has taken notice of Imran Khan’s arrest from the court’s premises.
Rangers arrested the former prime minister in connection with the Al-Qadir Trust case after the National Accountability Bureau issued arrest warrants for him on May 1, according to reports.
Videos posted to Twitter show Rangers soldiers attempting to enter a high courtroom where Khan was present for biometric verification in two cases filed against him. Khan was there for the verification. The paramilitary soldiers are seen leading him toward a double-cabin vehicle in another video.

The Islamabad police chief, the secretary of the interior ministry, and the additional attorney general have been ordered to appear before the court within 15 minutes after the IHC chief justice took notice of the vandalism.
In his statement, Justice Farooq claimed to be acting “restraint” and issued a threat to summon the prime minister in the event that the Islamabad police chief did not appear.
Additionally, he demanded information about the incident that led to the former premier’s arrest.

Earlier, Imran Khan, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and a former prime minister was taken into custody by Rangers on Tuesday outside the Islamabad High Court in the federal capital.
The nation’s anti-graft watchdog in the Al-Qadir trust case detained the former premier after he continued to rant against his rivals and government agencies.
