TikTok has decided to remove over 12.68m videos from Pakistan. TikTok, a video-sharing app, has reported the removal of approximately 12.68 million videos from Pakistan in Q4 2022 due to infringement of community norms.
This represents around 0.6% of all videos posted to the site globally during this time period. The United States eliminated the most videos in Q4 2022, with 13 million erased. TikTok removed accounts for violating community guidelines as well as suspected spam accounts and material.

According to the report, TikTok used technology and human review to identify and address policy violations, with a proactive removal rate of 98.8% in Q4 2022. The community norms for the site promote safety, inclusivity, and authenticity for all users and content.
With approximately 85.68 million videos removed globally in Q4 2022, this figure represents a considerable share of the global videos taken down.
In Q4 2022, the proactive removal rate was 98.8%, with 89.7% of violent videos from Pakistan removed before anyone could access them and 95.5% removed within a day. Furthermore, in Q4, 17,877,316 accounts suspected to be of users under the age of 13 were removed globally, and a total of 54,453,610 bogus accounts were also eliminated.
TikTok’s continued effort to build confidence by being accountable and working to establish a safe and inviting community was recognized in the study. The platform also took aggressive measures to prevent automated spam accounts from being established.

TikTok, and its Chinese counterpart Douyin, is a short-form video hosting service owned by the Chinese company ByteDance. It hosts user-submitted videos, which can range in duration from 3 seconds to 10 minutes.
Since their launches, TikTok and Douyin have gained global popularity. In October 2020, TikTok surpassed 2 billion mobile downloads worldwide.
