KARACHI – The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) issues the revised timings for banks during Ramadan 2023 on Wednesday.
All the banks, development financial institutions and microfinance banks would observe the office hours from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm with prayer breaks from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
However, the banking hours for public dealing would be observed from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm without any break from Monday to Thursday.
SBP issues the revised bank timings in a tweet.
Banking hours for public dealing during Ramadan-ul-Mubarak shall be as follows:
Mon – Thurs: 09:00am to 2:00pm
Fridays: 08:30am to 01:00pm

The office hours and public dealing timing would be observed from 08:30 am to 1:00 pm without any break on Friday, the central bank said.
Meanwhile, all banks will remain closed for public dealing on Friday (March 24) for the purpose of Zakat deduction.

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) is the Central Bank of Pakistan. Its Constitution, as originally laid down in the State Bank of Pakistan Order 1948, remained basically unchanged until 1 January 1974, when the bank was Nationalized and the scope of its functions was considerably enlarged.
The State Bank of Pakistan Act 1956, with subsequent amendments, forms the basis of its operations today. The headquarters are located in the financial capital of the country Karachi.
