Satish Kaushik, an actor-director, died in the early hours of March 9th. Satish Kaushik celebrated Holi just a day before his death. He was 66 years old at the time.
The news of his death has shocked the Hindi film industry as well as many fans. Satish was in Delhi at the time when he had a heart attack while driving.
He had attended Javed Akhtar’s Holi party at his Mumbai home the day before his death. Satish had posted some happy photos from the party.
Satish Kaushik attended Javed Akhtar’s Holi party on March 8 and shared photos on social media.
He had captioned it, “Colourful Happy Fun #Holi party at Janki Kutir Juhu by @Javedakhtarjadu@babaazmi @AzmiShabana @tanviazmi.. met the newlywed beautiful couple @alifazal9 @RichaChadha.. wishing Happy Holi to everyone.” In the pictures, Satish Kumar can be seen all smiles as he is smeared in colors. He can also be seen posing with Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal, lyricist Javed Akhtar and Mahima Chaudhry.

Satish Kaushik was an Indian actor, comedian, screenwriter, director, and producer. He was born on April 13, 1965, in Haryana. He acted in theatres before finding his break in Bollywood. As a film actor, Satish Kaushik was known for his roles as Calendar in the 1987 superhero film, Mr. India, as Pappu Pager in Deewana Mastana (1997), and as Chanu Ahmed in the British film Brick Lane (2007), directed by Sarah Gavron. Satish Kaushik also won the Filmfare Best Comedian Award in 1990 for Ram Lakhan and in 1997 for Saajan Chale Sasural.
Satish Kaushik is survived by his wife and daughter.
