Careem to launch women-only bike service on International Women's Day

Careem announces that it will launch a new women-only bike service, going to cater exclusively to its female customers, on International Women’s Day.

Careem will begin a women-only bike service in Karachi and then spread to other cities throughout Pakistan. Careem welcomes registrations from women who want to work as female Captain and earn a flexible income.

There are two service models available: part-time (5 hours) and full-time (8 hours) for which Careem ensures a monthly payment of Rs. 30,000 and Rs. 50,000 respectively

Furthermore, Careem is providing female motorbike Captains with zero per cent commission, bonuses, and guarantees, as well as priority access to Careem’s safety and security helpline. Women interested in volunteering can go to the DHA or Gulshan Careem opportunity centres, or they can follow the Careem Captain Facebook page.

On the platform, more than 1,700 female Captains currently drive Careem customers in a variety of car types. Careem is currently incentivizing all of its female Captains across all car types with special bonuses, making it more profitable for them to work on the platform.

Careem’s new women-driven motorbike service enables Careem’s large female customer base, particularly office and university goers, to access affordable yet safe and reliable transportation in an environment of rising inflation. It will help to empower women in Pakistan to access flexible income-generating options and achieve financial stability as Captains.

Undoubtedly, this will bring even more drivers to Careem in these cities, potentially improving fares. More drivers equal more ride availability, which equals fewer peak factors and possibly lower ride rates. Peak factors are used when there is a shortage of drivers in your area, but if there is a surplus, it is no longer a problem.
