A Sindh court has summoned Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senior Vice-President and Chief Organiser Maryam Nawaz for allegedly insulting the “state institutions”.
Maryam Nawaz received a summons from an additional sessions court in Sukkur on Wednesday. Zaheer Muhammad, District President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), had petitioned the court for the registration of a case against the PML-N leader under Sections 22-A 6 and 22-B.
The petitioner claimed that the PML-N leader attempted to incite people to revolt against the institutions in her public speech.
The court has directed respondents, including Maryam, to submit a detailed report.
