Veteran Pakistani actor Shahid Hameed met with a car accident in Canada on Saturday.
His vehicle was reported to have collided with a truck after going off track, but the Tehzeeb star escaped with no injuries.
He also posted a video on social media to inform fans about the accident. In the video, the actor claims he was in an accident in Ontario’s capital while on his way to dinner. The legendary star called it a miracle that he was unharmed.
Clips aired by local media show his black saloon wrecked after the crash.
Shahid Hameed known for his evergreen onscreen performances starred in over 150 films in the 70s and 80s. He made his debut on the big screen with Aansoo in 1971.
Some of his hit projects include Yeh Aman, Tehzeeb, Umrao Jan Ada, Naukar Wohti Da, Bin Badal Barsaat, Shama-e-Mohabbat, Mirza Jat, and Chan Punjab Da.
His first film was Aansoo, released in 1971. He worked in more than 150 films. Shahid quit working in films as a result of sub-standard film production in the Pakistan film industry after he worked ZOR which was released in 1998. He made his comeback with the film Wujood (2018) after a hiatus of 20 years.
