Saudi Arabia has announced the Ramadan date. In Saudi Arabia, the first day of Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, is expected to be March 23.
According to an Arab media outlet, the Ramadan date is expected to be March 23, Thursday, according to Dr. Abdullah Al-Massand, a former professor of astronomy at Al-Qassim University in Saudi Arabia and deputy chairman of the Meteorological Society.
Dr. Massand believes that the holy month of Shaban will have 30 days because the crescent will be visible just before 9 minutes after sunset on 29 Shaban.
Prior to this, Ibrahim Al-Jarwan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Astronomy Society, had also predicted that Eid ul Fitr would probably occur on April 21 and that the first day of the holy month would probably be observed on March 23.
The Saudi government states that the first moon sightings for the holy month will start after sunset on March 21.
It should be noted that the eighth month of the Islamic calendar began on February 21 when the Shaban crescent was seen in Pakistan.
The Kingdom, on the other hand, permitted 1 million people from within and outside the country to do Hajj. There were 83,132 pilgrims from Pakistan among them.
According to an official, Saudi Arabia expressed its intention to increase the Hajj quota in a direct discussion with Pakistani officials.
He stated that the kingdom intended to reinstate the old Hajj quota for the entire world, including Pakistan. If the ruling is carried out, nearly 179,000 Pakistani pilgrims will participate in the pilgrimage next year.
