Islamabad police committed to resolve public issues on priority, says IGP

Islamabad Police has committed to resolving public grievances on priority. It was stated by the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Muhammad Ahsan Younas while listening to public complaints during Khuli Kacheri. The IGP Islamabad hears public complaints in Khuli Kacheri daily.

While listening to public complaints, the IGP directed all police officials to resolve the public protests on priority, adding that the purpose of holding these Khuli Kacheries was to resolve general issues immediately and purely on merit.

He strictly directed all zonal officers to take immediate and strict action against land grabbers. “No one would be allowed to grab the property of any citizen”, he added.

Islamabad police chief said that it was their prime responsibility to protect the lives and property of the citizens and resolve their problems on priority. He noted that citizens at `Open Court’ should behave respectfully and their trust in the police department to be won through resolving their issues.

The IGP also directed all SHOs to remain present in their offices daily from 3 pm to 5 pm and listen to public complaints. Such interaction with citizens was aimed to promote community policing, resolve the issues of people at their doorsteps through merit and curb activities of anti-social elements, he added.
