Case registered against owners in Balochistan bus crash. Over 40 passengers were killed after a bus crashed and caught fire in Balochistan’s Lasbela area the previous day. A case was filed against the bus owners on Monday.

Under the SHO’s complaint, the matter was reported to Bela Police Station as an incidence of attempted murder, negligence, duress, reckless driving, and endangering life.

Case registered against owners in Balochistan bus crash. The case names bus owners Zahoor, Manzoor Ahmed, and the deceased driver Salim. The first information report (FIR) language states that the bus proprietors gave the driver the order to discharge the car despite its technical issues.

The bus in question had already been prohibited from operating as a result of overspeeding, it was added.

The bus continually stumbled while the passenger was on board, and when the driver was asked to fix the bus, he said that the owner had told him to keep going.

On Sunday, a bus accident in the Balochistan town of Bela resulted in at least 41 deaths and numerous injuries.

The bus, which was travelling from Quetta to Karachi and was carrying about 48 passengers, ran into a pillar on the bridge and veered off course. The number of casualties rose as a result of the difficulty in evacuating the people from the bus due to the fire.

The media was informed by Assistant Commissioner (AC) Lasbela Hamza Anjum that 41 dead bodies, some of which had been charred beyond recognition, had been pulled from the rubble by rescuers.

The bodies of the 38 accident victims were transported to Jinnah Hospital Karachi, where DNA tests will be used to identify them. Three bodies were handed over by the administration after being recognised by family members.

Asghar Ramazan, the director of the neighbourhood rescue organisation, told AFP that the bus was filled with oil container cargo.“When the bus fell down, it immediately caught fire,” he said. The oil “caused the fire to flare up so much that it was difficult to control”, he added.

“It is feared that the driver may have fallen asleep,” Anjum said, or maybe he had been speeding during the long-distance trip. “We will investigate the causes of the accident,” he said.
