Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, the chief minister of Punjab, on Thursday, announced a harsh crackdown on drug use in educational institutions.
This decision was discussed by the CM in a meeting with the Federal Narcotics Minister Nawabzada Shahzain Bugti here in Lahore.
They made the decision to launch a harsh crackdown against those responsible for the sale and purchase of drugs out of their deep concern over the rising use of drugs and narcotics in educational institutions.
In the meeting, it was also decided to open two drug rehabilitation facilities in the province, one of which will be established inside the jail.
The Punjab Government with the Anti-narcotics force agreed upon and decided to take joint steps under an integrated strategy and also to better the collaboration.
Punjab CM Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi announced a severe crackdown outside the educational institutions and also online against drugs and the culprits involved in selling them by the Punjab Government and Anti-Narcotics Force.
A zero-tolerance policy will be adopted against the sale of drugs in institutions to prevent the new generation and drug sellers outside the institutions will be strongly curbed.
