Zoom launches cartoon avatars for users.
The video conferencing tool, Zoom launches cartoon avatars for users that can simulate a person’s face and physical expressions.
Only paying Zoom users who are beta testers can access the functionality.
With time, the platform will provide more specifics about the avatars.
However, by providing the new function, Zoom has allowed users for informal meetings and guaranteed users’ attendance without them revealing their real faces or bodies.

Animal avatars for users had previously been introduced by the app, and it had also promised a variety of template formats to provide a better screen view.
All of the updates are, however, available for paid accounts.
To use Zoom’s Avatars, follow these simple steps:
- Enable video on your Zoom client.
- Then, go to the meeting toolbar.
- After which, select the “Stop Video” menu to open other video options.
- Then, click “Choose Virtual Background or Choose Video Filter.”
- From there, open the Avatars tab to choose your cartoon animal.
