District Police Officer (DPO) Dera Ismail Khan District Muhammad Shoaib suspended Station House Office (SHO), Muharrir, and In-charge check post of Choudhwan Police Station for not preparing the police force and not making adequate arrangements for a possible attack by terrorists, police said on Friday.
District Police Spokesman Syed Zulqarnain Shah Bukhari told The Asian Mirror in view of the current security concerns in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan and after the CTD compound incident in Bannu, District Police Officer (DPO) Dera Ismail Khan District Muhammad Shoaib along with the officers of the Pakistan Army and Deputy Superintendent Police (DSP) Kulachi Asif Mehmood visited various security points and Chaudhwan Police Station.
During his visit, as the police force was not fully prepared and enough arrangements were not made to counter any possible terrorist attack, DPO D I Khan Muhammad Shoaib suspended the Station House Office (SHO), Muharrir and In-charge check post of Choudhwan Police Station.
He also issued orders for better arrangements regarding security points.
After the recent terrorist incident in Bannu, DPO Dera Muhammad Shoaib has tightened security arrangements across the district and is also monitoring the arrangements himself.
